A Detailed Guide

Share your Nursing journey and receive national recognition for your nursing achievements. Stand to win the grand prize amount of EGP400,000 with five additional runner up prizes for a total prize amount of EGP1,000,000.

Mandatory documents to keep ready before you get started:

1. Your valid Nursing license as on September 30, 2023

2. Nursing education qualification (Highest degree)

3. Supporting Document Form

4. Valid identity

5. Valid proof of current employment (Nurse ID, letter from the institute)

6. Proof of at least two years of work experience as of September 30, 2023

7. A Passport-Size Photograph

The application form has 6 sections:

Section 1: Personal Details

This section includes your personal details like:

• Name

• Date of birth

• Gender

• Work experience

• Contact details

• Hospital/Institute details

• Reporting manager details

• Employment letter/record; with no penalties, for the last year

Section 2: Professional Details

You will be required to answer the five corresponding questions for each area of contribution. The questions are based on the following aspects:

• Your contributions as a nurse including a case study for a case that you handled.

• Years of experience in the selected area of contribution

• Challenges faced and how you overcame them

• Your impact on the selected area of contribution

• This could be a time where you’ve had to persevere/ make sacrifices in order to overcome a challenge, or a time where you have received immense appreciation for your work.

• We recommend focusing on an achievement that helped you create a positive impact.

• Make sure you can talk about it in detail, including what you did, how you approached it, and what the result was.

• Write about it in detail, supporting it by data/impact numbers as they generally have better resonance with Jury members.

• Related anecdotes with examples

• Differentiating factors from other nurses

• Prize money utilization, if you win

Kindly remember to answer each question in first person, i.e., explain every experience from your point of view.

Section 3: Areas of Contribution

In this section, you will be asked to provide information about individuals who are either from your current or previous organization and are aware of the details of your initiative to participate in the Cleopatra Hospitals National Nursing Award 2024 to verify the same over a call or email.

Section 4: Reference Details

• In this section, you need to enter your professional details, and attach relevant documents such as proof of education and valid registered Nursing License

• You will have to agree to terms that you have valid proof of employment, Government identity proof and ID copy as per the eligibility criteria of the Award

• The only mandatory document that needs to be attached in this section is a copy of your Valid Nurse Registration Certificate (Nursing license), and Nursing education qualification (Highest degree)

Please note: You will have to submit all the document copies over email when requested by the Management team.

Section 5: Collaterals / Supporting Documents

• You will have to download the supporting document blank form, fill out the information required and upload the filled supporting document form.

• After that, go through the pre-filled declaration form in detail and understand the set of rules and regulations that all applicants must abide by

• You can preview your filled application form before submitting it

Please note: You cannot edit the application form once submitted.

Section 6: For shortlisted candidates, you will be required to do a presentation infront of the Qualifying committee addressing the following subjects:

1.      Infection control

2.      Quality & Nursing KPIs

3.      Discharge process enhancement

4.      Any other new idea that enhances the nursing process

Note: you will be required to elaborate on the details of the case study you mentioned in section 2.

Eligibility Criteria for the Cleopatra Hospitals National Nursing Prize

1. Areas of Contribution Selection:

      1.1 Candidates must complete a case study section for the area of contribution.

2. Professional Requirements:

   2.1 Applicants must be registered nurses with a Medical/Nurse Council and currently working as nurses. Registered Midwives are not eligible.

      2.2 A valid national identity proof is needed as of September 30, 2023.

3. Experience and Documentation:

   3.1 A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the healthcare industry is required as of September 30, 2023.

   3.2 A letter from the current or previous organization confirming employment duration as a Nurse as of September 30, 2023, must be provided.

4. Application and Validation:

   4.1 Candidates must have supporting documents for all details mentioned in the application form. These should be provided to the Award management team if shortlisted.

   4.2 Relevant information and documents related to the Award, identity, and application form details must be provided for validation. Deviations may lead to disqualification.

5. Additional Conditions:

   5.1 Candidates must be willing to travel to Cairo for the presentation as well as the Award Ceremony if shortlisted.

   5.2 Finalists from previous editions of the Cleopatra Hospitals National Nursing Prize are not eligible for the current edition.

   5.3 Employees and immediate family members of the Award management, sponsors, and partners, excluding nurses at Cleopatra Hospitals and its affiliates, are not eligible.

   5.4 The Jury reserves the right to disqualify any application not meeting the criteria. Their decisions are final and binding.

   5.5 The Award management may modify eligibility criteria retrospectively without prior notification.
